Our story
About Classic Upholstery
Classic Upholstery has been outfitting Oxnard with hand crafted interiors since 1988, when owner Juan first reupholstered a set of boat cushions. Since then we've stitched custom leather seats for trucks, rebuilt marine covers and dodgers, and brought new life to dining chairs and heirloom furniture that looked ready for the curb.
We keep an enormous selection of fabrics and leathers on hand, so every piece, whether it's a set of antique chairs, a run of snap in boat carpet, or an aircraft interior, gets a fit built specifically for it. Wood gets refinished, cushions get rebuilt from the frame up, and every bit of it is done by hand in our Oxnard shop.
Word has traveled fast for close to four decades, and our schedule tends to fill up because of it. Stop by the shop, take a look at the fabric wall, and see why customers keep coming back.

What customers say
“Worked with Juan on my 06 Ram, I told him everything I wanted and he delivered all the way. Now with custom leather seats they feel amazing and when people get in the truck they are afraid to get anything dirty because its so nice, but its definitely a lot easier to clean now.”
“Understandably popular and the go to upholster in the area. Have been using Juan since 1988 when he first upgraded some boat squabs/cushions. Over the years he has helped with various vessels, vehicles and aircraft. He's done it all, seats, squabs, cushions, custom fitted sheets, interior upholstery, dodgers, winch, pole and dinghy covers, bags, etc. Highly recommend.”
“Just picked up our 6 dining room chairs from Classic Upholstery. We had them re-upholstered in a new fabric. Juan and his team did a fantastic job. I very highly recommend them. Easy to work with, at a fair price, on time and the handy-work is perfect.”
